Your Own Feeding Time

With two kids at home, it’s so easy to get caught up in the little ones’ feeding times that many moms sometimes forget to feed themselves! But eating well is the most important thing you can do to keep up your energy during this busy time. Here are a few simple and affordable tricks busy moms use to make sure they get the nourishment they need:

Plan ahead. Having ready-to-go snacks in the fridge makes it simple to grab some nutrition even if you only have a few minutes. Some moms like to stock up on cut-up fruits and veggies, string cheese and yogurt so they can just grab a quick something and get on with their day.

Fortify yourself. Lots of foods and drinks today have added nutrients to help you get vitamins and other healthy essentials you might otherwise miss. Try looking for calcium-fortified juices, protein-enriched pastas, and cereals with fiber added.

Make them portable. Many busy moms say that including their own snack in the diaper bag helps keep them going when they’re on the go. Granola bars, cereal bars and pretzels are all easy to stash in the diaper bag so you can keep your energy up when you’re out and about.

Don’t forget fluids. Keeping a reusable water bottle with you can help make sure you’re hydrated and refreshed throughout your day.
